We went through that too. We swore we would never own a minivan, but when I was pregnant with Nora, we realized it was the most financially sound buy. SUVs are super gas-guzzlers. Does that mean you've got some news?
I don't think you can go wrong with the Odyssey. I mean, if you HAVE to have a minivan, it might as well be oh-so comfy, roomy, and kinda cool looking. Tell David you won't have one forever.
I have already resigned to the fact that we'll be minivan owners. Not only is it more economical than an SUV, it's more practical since kids can climb in & out on their own, the doors don't swing out & hit things, etc... but I'm holding out until the last possible second to get one. We starting thinking about getting one soon so we could drive out to Utah but picturing myself in a mini van made my hyperventilate. I'm just not ready yet. Maybe next year.
Oh, so your one of those people now, huh? Just kidding. I can guarantee you the next vehicle we buy will be a minivan and I soooo cannot see myself driving one. Of course when we got our Camry I felt like I was driving a mom car. Can you imagine what a minivan will feel like?...yes you can cause you have one!!! So, how do you like it? It looks super nice!
Boo hoo, I am sooo sad I didn't get to come say good-bye to you before you left town. You left sooner than I thought and so I completly missed you! Just know that you are one of my favorite people and you will be missed. Please keep in touch! I hope you find some good "Settlers" friends out there. You MiniVan is really pretty. That is one I wouldn't mind driving. We've never owned a MiniVan but they are getting nicer looking...our Yukon XL gets terrible gas mileage but Kevin refuses to downsize. I have come to the conclusion that big people like big cars.
Hehe I have said that too...but the idea is growing on me. I've been in enough vans now with the kids to know it's WAY easier to get them in and out of them. :) It's nice! I like it. Hope you are enjoying Baltimore!
I thought about posting a similar post because about 3 weeks ago, we too became the proud owners of a new minivan! They are so great - so much room inside. It makes me think we need a new member of the family to fill all of the empty space - maybe a dog!

Lol! I hope you enjoy the new minivan!
We drove my parent's Odyssey out to Utah and back. It was so nice. I'm guessing you will love yours.
David, I said those exact words too and I am SO GLAD that I changed my mind! I LOVE my Odyssey! Congrats! Are you loving it?
haha, that's one sweet ride!

Haha. We got over that hump early on and just bought our minivan BEFORE we had kids. We have loved it. Yours is a nice one!
