Wearing Green!

St. Patrick's Day was beautiful this year. Unfortunately David was at work, but the kids and I enjoyed playing outside. Ben and Kate loved my rainbow and added their own pot of gold and leprechaun.

At the bus stop on Friday, one of the neighborhood Dads asked me, "Did you party last night?" To which I immediately responded, "Oh yeah, because BYU won?" He said, "Um, no because it was St. Patrick's Day." I guess my version of a party is just a tad different. I ran 6 miles on the treadmill. Wore green. Watched BYU win. With all 3 kids sleeping. Seemed like a party to me!

My Perfect LITTLE Boy!

How did I get so lucky to be Jacob's mother? He is my angel. A. Pure. Joy. I am so grateful he came into our lives one year ago. Here are just a few of my favorite things about Jacob:
1. His whole body shakes with excitement when he sees me in the morning.
2. He loves to watch his big brother and big sister. They are the only entertainment he needs.
3. He loves strings! He never misses them....on balloons, hooded sweatshirts, strollers, bumper pads, shoelaces, etc.

4. He sleeps 12 hours through the night and doesn't even whimper when I lay him down!
5. He has the most content disposition. Calm, easy going and happy.
6. His rosy, chubby cheeks.
7. He can adjust to whatever schedule the day entails.
8. His giggle.
9. His beautiful blue eyes and blond hair.
10. He's mine!
Saturday was Jacob's first birthday. We had great plans of going to the National Aquarium to celebrate, but instead the stomach bug hit Friday night (AGAIN!). We spent the day at home. Nevertheless, Ben and Kate enjoyed helping Jacob open his presents. His caterpillar was a HUGE hit. Ben and Kate thought it was so funny to see how mad he got at them when they took it away and how happy he got as soon as they rolled it back to him.

Fortunately, my good friend Heather saved the day with her cute Superman cupcakes and mini cake. She didn't even know that I had just bought Jacob a Superman onesie!

Today was Jacob's 1 year check-up. Here are his stats: Height: 27 3/4" (3rd %) Weight: 17 pounds 4 oz. (Below chart) Head: 47.5 cm (75th %). Obviously he is a little peanut, but we are use to peanuts around here! I told David if I had to pick one thing to be on the charts I would pick his head.....seems important right!

We love you Jacob!
